Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is incorporated into the PolyOrderbooks Terms of Service. It applies to every account, API key, and integration. Violations may result in throttling, suspension, termination, or legal action.

1. Permitted use

  • Query the API within your plan’s authentication, rate, and history limits.
  • Build internal tools, research pipelines, dashboards, and trading systems that consume the API.
  • Cache responses reasonably inside your own systems for performance and resilience.
  • Share derived analytics or products that do not republish unrestricted raw feed access.

2. Prohibited use

  • Exceed, rotate, or otherwise circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
  • Share, sell, lease, or publicly redistribute API keys or unmetered proxy access to the API.
  • Operate denial-of-service, scraping farms, credential stuffing, or vulnerability scanning beyond authorized testing.
  • Use the Service for unlawful trading, market manipulation, sanctions evasion, or other illegal activity.
  • Attempt to access non-public systems, other customers’ data, or unpublished endpoints.
  • Misrepresent affiliation with Polymarket, PolyOrderbooks, or any other party.
  • Upload malware or content that harms users, providers, or infrastructure.
  • Resell the Service as a competing API without a written enterprise agreement.

3. Fair use & automated access

Automation is expected. Burst patterns that degrade shared infrastructure, retry storms without backoff, or key farming may be treated as abuse even if within nominal published limits. Contact us for Enterprise capacity if you need sustained high throughput.

4. Security research

Good-faith security research against the published API surface should be coordinated with us in advance where feasible. Do not exfiltrate customer data or disrupt production. Report findings to contact@polyorderbooks.com.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, request information, and take technical or account actions we deem reasonably necessary. We may update this AUP; continued use means you accept the updated policy.

6. Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse or security issues to contact@polyorderbooks.com.
